Monarch Ski Area
Monarch Mountain is perfect for all ages and abilities, and consistently has some of the best snow in Colorado. Monarch opened it's doors originally back in 1939. The main lodge has many pictures dated back to the early days...spend a few minutes while wandering around the lodge catching up on some of Monarch's history. In today's bigger -is-better society, we feel confident that our locally owned resort has everything you'll need to have an unbelievable alpine experience. You can walk from your car to the lift, prices are reasonable, the snow is great! It is perfect for beginners OR experienced skiers and riders. Red River Ski Area
The family that skis together skis at Red River. There is a difference in ski resorts, and the difference at Red River is the distinctive emphasis on fun for everyone in the family. No member of your "home team" will feel left out on our slopes. Our 58 trails are equally divided for all skill levels: 30% expert, 38% intermediate and 32% beginner. And our new snowboard park keeps Gen X well challenged and entertained.Here's another big plus.

Most lodgings in Red River are within easy walking distance from the ski area, and two of our six chairlifts rise directly from downtown. This means you can park the car once you arrive and not move it again until you leave. Go anywhere in town on our free trolley. Spend your time on the slopes, not searching for another parking place. Wolf Creek Ski Area
Wolf Creek Ski Area boasts the most natural snow of any ski area in Colorado every season and delights the locals and visitors alike with challenging downhill experiences. Wolf Creek's six lifts service incredibly beautiful terrain, over 1,600 acres. Predominantly tree skiing and boarding, these 1,000 acres have a few groomed trails for everyone's 'interests and enjoyment.
